Confirmed finally today. Alright, I'm mostly sad because I had a massive man-crush on him and I realise he wasn't Billy Slater and he couldn't tackle. BUT he was exciting with the ball and fully fit is the closest thing to Rob Burrow available, six tries in twelve is decent and he was injured throughout his stay with us, but still played anyway. I think he could have been a good option at 6 or bench 9 if he could have been beefed up a little. Burrow has destroyed us so many times and I'm sure Quinlan could end up a similar player.

He's looking to stay in Super League apparently. I hope this one doesn't come back to bite us.

He takes a quota spot and probably isnt that cheap though. If McDonnell had packed in then he might have been worth a punt

He's up there with one of the worst players I've seen in saints shirt. He's certainly the worst fullback I've ever seen at saints.

I bet the young lads felt like it was a real kick in the teeth bringing him over who is imo awful. How can you play rugby league if don't like contact?

Sure, he had great pair of hands and good support player but I don't think he made one signal one on one tackle when the line was broken and he couldn't break out of a paper bag.

Wello didn't for about the last five years of his career and no one bar me criticised him. To be fair to Quinlan he made two cracking try-saving one on ones in the play offs against Leeds. Unlucky for him they scored off the next plays as the rest of our backs (Bar Percy) are just as bad defensively. Why we couldn't have him defend on the wing and play Rob Burrow's role is beyond me.

Wello didn't shirk contact. Quinlan was afraid of contact and that's something Wello never was.

Wello is better than him with one hip.
