Phil Gould does a lot of Q&A sessions on Twitter and has answered 'Joe Greenwood' when asked on a number of occasions recently who he'd like to see in the NRL from SuperLeague.

He was in the UK a few weeks ago and visited a game at Langtree, but has today denied that Joe Greenwood was the reason for his trip.

Could you be about to lose him to the NRL?

Nah I doubt it. He's very raw. It's more likely to be over the transfer of Dean Whare to Saints, but it's top secret, so don't tell anyone.

A few weeks back there was talk on one Newcastle forum of Nathan Brown maybe signing a forward from Super League, possibly from Saints.

That's very strange. I got a text from someone today asking if I'd heard anything about Joe Greenwood. I said no, and asked what he'd heard. Joe Greenwood to Wigan was his reply.

It would be a brilliant move for him personally in his development. However, losing him as well as Josh Jones would be a massive loss...

Too early for him to go to the NRL. Maybe in a couple of years after he's bulked up.
