Nothing to see here. All on next week. Were the ubder dogs. Lets do it.
Tonight was a very good summary of our season really. Ridiculously poor with the ball, weak defensively yet still had some backbone to still be in it. When we pulled it back to 4 points, I said to those around me that it was ridiculous that we were in that position. We were shocking. Warrington were really poor as well. Credit to them for finally showing some pride in themselves, but I don't think they would have come within 40 of Huddersfield, Wigan or Leeds tonight. That just sums up how poor we were. We made so many unforced errors, the play was scrappy and disjointed. The pack made precious little ground, the backs don't seem to have a break in them.
I just don't understand what that was tonight. There were two choices. Open both barrels on Warrington and smash them off the park and go into the semi in form, or rest the key players and have the rest do a professional job. What was the point of James Roby playing tonight exactly? That must have been one of the worst performances in a Saints shirt from him, he looks done. He missed tons of tackles tonight, the first attempt he made was unsuccessful on a ridiculous number of times. People were literally walking through him and he did nothing with it. Fatigue. Another who should not have done the minutes he did was Andre Savelio. Class player and worked hard, but you could see after 10 minutes he was blowing. LMS another. They didn't need that tonight and it'll probably cost us what little chance we had next week as well. Sums KC as a coach up for me. Too simplistic, no thought.
If Fages in the Hohaia role is the squad complete for next season, I'll say with complete confidence now, we won't be in the hunt for any of the trophies. Not good enough.
Having said that, go and give whoever it is beating us next week absolute hell. Give them everything.
