There were a couple of decent performers in there - got to give credit to LMS and Amor in my view. But there are some horror stats in there for a lot of the team.
I'm not one of the Masoe knockers, but it has to be said that his stats stand out as a monumental waste of time. It strikes me that it doesn't matter whether that's all he's willing to do, or whether that's all he's being allowed to do. Either way, it's a waste of bench space.
Flanagan's stats are also awful. If you're in there as a tackler, not a runner (he only made 3 carries), then your tackles should be up in the high 30s or 40s. To make just 20 tackles and 3 carries after being on all game is very poor for a forward.
Turner and Jones both missed around one tackle in every three they made. That's the sort of stat which makes opposition centres rub their hands together in glee - "run at this guy three times, and one of those times, I'm through!". I know centre is a difficult defensive position, but Moon and Watkins did much better. We barely troubled Watkins at all, but Moon made 2 misses out of 24 - that's an acceptable defensive centre stint.
Wilkin missed 6 out of 36 - not great, but still an 80%+ success ratio for someone playing out wide, so not great, but better.
Walmsley needs to improve that. A prop can't be missing more than 1 in 3 tackles. Some people keep saying Amor is out of form (I disagree), but he missed just 1 tackle from 37. That's a good prop stint.
Thompson also needs to up his game. He was on the pitch long enough to make 24 tackles, but he missed 6. Not good enough for someone playing in the middle. Especially someone so young who should be pretty mobile, and again, if you're not going to offer a highly effective tackling game, you need to be a runner, but with just 3 carries, that's a poor show.
