Will always be a tricky one at Widnes with their pitch being artificile. Gives them a slight advantage against other teams.

Another week and no Luke walsh again.

I wonder if it will be a good thing if he does take up that 3rd year option?

The squad available is good enough to beat widnes but I think our luck will run out this week and I fear it could be a pretty big defeat.

We probably as fans need to be a bit more patient with Walsh, his injury could have been a career ending one And I seem to remember he was scheduled in for. march return after the operation.
I,m hoping he settles in with Burns and takes the 3rd year option, signing another decent scrum half is getting more difficult year on year.
KC has alreay mentioned he wants Walsh to be be right when he takes the field.
Last year we were in bad shape against Widnes and seem to remember Wheeler, Wilkin and Jones having stinkers , we are tighter unit this year and we do have a decent half back in Burns this time around.

Don't get me wrong, I'm counting the days down for walsh return but if we being totally honest its not been great signing due to his injurie(s). I bet he's missed more than he's played. This will be 6 games already this year.

I'd love nothing more than a fully fit walsh now and for another 5 years but at the moment giving him another year could leave us with one hakfback AGAIN

When the squad was announced everyone on Twitter was saying Wello should be at fullback. Why? Makinson could play there, with Dawson on the wing, or play Hohaia there with Wilkin and Burns in the halves. For me, even without Lomax and Walsh, Wellens just doesn't get into the best 17 players available. We also should be putting youth ahead of him if there is any and I refuse to believe we've got no backs in the academy that couldn't do a job at fullback.

Wello even favourited my tweet about such! Love the guy, even though I don't think he's up to it any more.
