Catalans game : Sat Feb 28, 2015 2:47 pm  

Currently 18-0 to Catalans and Gary Wheeler has had an absolute nightmare. He's put the ball down about five times already and has come up with some awful defending, particularly when Duport put him on his backside to score.

Warrington are still in this though, they've literally done nothing all game. They will get some ball at some stage and cut their errors out. Catalans, as good as they have been, need to score next.

Catalans look very strong to me. Winning the collision in the middle, 2 excellent halves controlling the game and clinical outside backs.

Is this the effect of the wcc on Warrington? If so maybe we didn't give saints the credit they deserved for last nights effort?

And now do you see my point about the world series? Warrington played a nothing game against the dragons and looks like it's disrupted them and cost them 2 points for the sake of a friendly!

I think we struggled as a result of the Souths game but ours had a meaning.

What has been warringtons excuse in all the other seasons they have lost in France?

Too easy to blame the WCC game. They've had a week to recover so it's no different from backing up after a game against saints, Wigan, Leeds etc.

Ita a cop out of an excuse.

No but we had to back up Sunday to Friday. They had Friday til Saturday. That's a great turn around, even if it was an intense game. Our game was brutal, we had a short turn around and we managed to win. Wasn't particularly pretty and we weren't particularly good but I'm not going to criticise as I think it was a really good, important win in the circumstances.

Of course it is, it's always been. Surely we knew that before the game. It's no different than the Champions League affecting the domestic form of Premier League sides.

We backed up Sunday to Friday, plenty of poor performances come with that turnaround whoever you play on the Sunday.

We need to stop looking for excuses. Some oz players back up a couple of days after state of origin!
