The more and more I see Manu the more and more I think he's turning into a good go forward prop. The days of his rampaging running down the flanks seem to have gone.

Worth that 2yr deal as a prop ?

He had a very good game vs Castleford (he was my pick of the forwards) - the only thing different between his performance this week compared to every other week is he cut out the silly basic errors, but the games he's capable of doing that are becoming further and further apart.

I just couldn't justify 2 years for him. 1 year would be great, but it seems neither side are backing down on it.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's still playing ok but he's no longer than rampaging Backrow that's running down the flanks.

I just feel he's turned into a good prop. Always makes good meters, he's big and strong and gets thru he defence.

still makes too many mistakes. Friday aside, you can pretty much guarantee a couple of dropped balls every game.

Not worth another contract for me, when we have Jones, Thompson, Richards, Greenwood and Savelio who can do what he does in the pack.

Only Savelio in that list even has the potential to do what Manu is capable of, all the others are different types of players (some of which even play in an entirely different position).

That said Vea is replacing Manu as our tackle buster, and I have no doubt he'll do as well as Manu has. What we need is a bell ringer to replace Soliola (which none of the kids mentioned are ready for either)

I agree its time to give the young forwards a chance to step up.

I thought he would get an extension but brown was talking a few weeks ago like the decision to let him go has already been made. I guess it just comes down to wages. But with LMS apparently spending more time in the back row, switching manu to prop might extend his career.
