Coming to The George Monday 13th October
Steve Prescott Week There will be 3 events this week, a classic game night, a pool challenge night and a Saturday get together. This week has been planned to give those people who would like to donate to SPF but have difficulty in perhaps having the money to be able to attend one of the larger events. On Tuesday 14th there will be a couple of classic games to be shown with hot pot/lobbies supper for only £3. Entry without food just £1 Thursday 16th will be a pool challenge match between a George VII versus Steve Prescott VII. There will be a raffle in the weeks leading up to this with 5 people and the two highest bidders of a blind auction making up the 7 lucky people getting to play against the SPF team. This is to be confirmed but is planned to have some past players involved. Saturday 18th will be an evening with DJ, there maybe some past and present players attending but this will be dependant on other commitments. It is hoped that any silverware won this season will also be there. The entry for this evening again will be just £1. Please pass the word as this is everyones opportunity to make a contribution no matter what their budget to a cause we all support. Our contribution from The George will be 10%, not of the profit but the ENTIRE TAKINGS the week 13th - 18th October For further details please check out the event page from Sunday 21st Sept at www.thegeorge-sthelens.com If you or your group, no matter how small think you would have liked to have had any kind of fundraiser for SPF but thought it was too small or venues too big, please get in touch if you would like to take advantage of the Mon-Wed or Friday that week.
