As an outsider I can't say how much I admire this bloke. What a super professional who is getting better with age.

The guy was truely Immense for you tonight in your deserved win. We need more blokes like him in our sport.

Any Saints fan or RL fan who doesn't believe he's anything other than a top quality performer is clearly beyond all help.

I think he's had a new lease of life this season to be honest. He really stood up tonight and was even calm when talking to the ref! Gave the team a real example of what it means to play in a derby match.

Fortunately the coaching staff can see things that the half wits on here can't. Wello us a top pro and a saint through and through. Sadly, some in here would have happily sent him off to Salford a couple of years ago, how stupid are they?

He has given Wellens credit this season already. check out the signature.

Wellens playing Fullback is completely different to Wellens playing second rower.

When we kept him for another season I assumed it would be to cover at Fullback and for other injuries. The difficulty is when Lomax is better what do we do. Wellens leadership is needed but apart from FB there is not really a position. Backrow suggested a rotating FB role for Lomax and Wellens. Wellens playing FB in defense and loose forward in attack.
