Brown is confident there is enough cover in the squad.

"Jon Wilkin can come in for Luke Walsh," he continued. "He did such a good job last season and we had a good run with him at the end of the year. On a positive note with losing a number of forwards the likes of Anthony Walker and Greg Richards can come in. They are better players through the experience of last season.

"Mark Flanagan is a Super League player too and they will take their chance."

Brown says Saints' next two games - Wakefield and Leeds - are important as they look to strengthen combinations ahead of the Tetley's Challenge Cup tie at Huddersfield.

Wilkin and Wheeler for me, Lance in the centres as hes a better defender

For me Lance hasn't shown anything more creative this year than the last two. Wheeler is a far more creative player

Which is why an inform wheeler should be ahead of lance. However, keeping lance at 6 and bringing wheeler in in the centres gives the side a bit of balance, given we have turner and Percival out, so it would be lance(or charnock) and Wilkin for me until we get more options in the backs.

Wilkin and Wheeler at 7 and 6. Control and some creative spark as opposed to control and a ball shuffler. Lance has shown nothing playing alongside a top 7 that he has not already failed to show the last 2 years.

Put Lance on the bench.

Let jones and dawson take the centres until Percival and Turner are fit. If we don't play Dawson now, then his signing is pretty pointless.

It should be Wilkin and Wheeler and hopefully we will see that for the Leeds game. I don't think that'll be the case on Sunday though.

Chranock and Hewitt, I think. Danny Yates left for France in theoffseason.
