Worry yes, beat them, probably not. I think it’s a bridge too far in more ways than one, and too early in the days of this relatively new side who are still to gel together, but I’m sure SW will get all they have to give for this one, and you never know. You wouldn’t bet your life against them would you?

Nah I wouldn't they play very well as a team which will stand them in good stead.

I think it could be a big score put on Wigan going off the squads but I've learned never back against Wigan after last year.

Oh well. A loss in the opening round, a long trip to Oz with nothing to show for it and a game against Widnes backed up for mid season.

Oh yes and we are top of the league.

Not a bad start to the year at all.

And before people say I am gloating and should respect Wigan for getting to the WCC. Nah! Gloat whilst you can, we've been called bottlers for years, so this early period of joy needs to be enjoyed whilst it lasts.

I thought wigan did well to hang in there, it could have easily run out to a big score but they never gave up. It will be very useful to them for the season, I think they will struggle this year but that trip might give them confidence.

I expected the roosters to put a bigger score on them to be honest. Credit to Wigan for hanging in there after being 18-0 down after 20 mins.

The roosters was very rusty and didn't look fit which was lucky for Wigan.

I thought burgess was great on the wing, looks a very good player. Sean o'loughlin was excellent after hardly playing many games in past 6 month.

Matty Bowen looks awful. He looks fat, unfit, terrible on kicks but worst of all, he doesn't look interested and looks like he's here for one last pay day.
