I'd have a Mint Clubb replace Laffranchi, it'd be more use.

But Tony Clubb? No thanks. He's useless.

He has today asked London for a release from his contract because he's sick of losing and feels like crying. And he wants to play for Saints? He'll lose almost as many here as he did at London.

If we sign him after those comments today, I'll be pretty annoyed. Saints have to aim higher than this, it's a desperately poor signing.

(Disclaimer-If they move him to prop and he turns out to be special, I reserve the right to change my mind on him)

Laffranchi will be at Saints next season - hopefully in the Back Row.

I appreciate that the position we are in will play a part in the recruitment side of things, but we have to be aiming higher than Clubb for me. He would be a step down, and if we are seriously looking at winning a trophy next season, we need to be aiming higher than that.

Please Eamon don't be taken in by this. It would be just company for the cockney rebel without a cause. He is a mirror image of his mate who is a great example similar to Cloughie of not quite good enough for where we want to be, which needs to be a top four club with a bloody big shout of silverware every year.

Great so we can look forward to a past it second row keeping out the young lads instead of a prop who's as effective as Peter Dinklage ... cant wait.

On the Tony Clubb thing personally I dont think he's good enough , if we buy him to play in the back row I'd ask why we need him and if we buy him to play prop I'd be concerned it was another gamble second row convert

Just reading on the sky sports news app that London want a fee for Clubb if he is to leave.

Imagine if we paid a fee for him...

If London offered to pay his wages and offered us a fee to take him he might be worth a spot in the squad. He isnt a stand off and he isnt a prop so quite frankly we dont need him
