I have no problem with Wello staying for another year...after all, 50% of his salary is exempt from cap since his testimonial and has a lot of experience to help the younger players coming through. Would also imagine, as per Cunningham, he will be signing for less money making him a decent & cheap-ish option as a squad player.
My problem will be if NB continues to move players around to accommodate him in the 13. With Lomax being lined up to play full back, Brown must realise Wello is a full back and if J-Lo is playing there Wello doesnt play! Simples!
We need to sign another half back to play alongside Walsh (as Hohaia clearly isnt in NB's plans and Wheeler manages 1 game every 3 months) and Wello is not the answer to this. Could prove a good signing (used as cover and even play him at full back in lesser games moving Lomax into the halves) but anything more than this isn't what we need going forward
