Has any season finished so soon for a St Helens team ? Certainly not in the summer era.

Not much to play for now except maintaining an ever-present SL play-off record

Its never over till the fat lady sings, however in reality we have nothing left to play for other than pride and to develop some of the young kids games.

IF we work hard we may make the top 8, however it will need a big effort from the lads.

Our next six fixtures are
London away
Widnes home
Leeds away
Warrington at the Etihad
Huddersfield away
Bradford home

I think we will do well to pick up 4 points from those games. Realistically two points is all we will get.

Leeds, Wire and Huddersfield are just going to be massacres

Can't see the cavalry coming any time soon.

Will be down on troops following the disciplinary this week.

Meli -upto 8 plus his injury.
Wilkin and Gardner 2 each.

Not sure when Lomax's mystery hamstring injury will "clear up" or be "cleared up".

It will be interesting to see how the club manage the news in the next few weeks.

Also with the new tampering dates any announcement of who is retrained.

Extensions announcements for Meli, Wellens, Ade, LMS , LaFrank will just send fan morale and confidence sinking
to new depths.

Think we are 7th in the league? That's embarrassing considering how poor the league is.

Wouldn't go as far as writing the season off completely, but it doesn't look good.

If they start handing out new deals to player who offer little to nothing then I see Mr McManus having a little shock when he starts asking people to renew season tickets.

Only 2 points behind the Wire. Next 2 games are must win then we can give the 'big 3' games a big push.

The season isn't over in terms of what I expected this team to do this year. We ain't real contenders for any cup if we are being totally honest.

I thought we'd do well to make the top 5 and we still could achieve that.

I think we'll get 4 points from our next 6, which is shocking really. Wins against London and Widnes, but it won't be pretty.
