Looking back at recent signings, Saints seem to announce the captures of there NRL players around April time, which isent far off now. With Puletua and Surely Perry leaving at the end of the season it will free up 2 spots. http://www.zerotackle.com/nrl/rugby-lea ... ract-2013/[url][/url] For me i would chuck cash at Kevin Locke from the Warriors, extremly exciting full back who had a horrific year with injury last year, which might put other NRL clubs off signing him. Some other very good players in there who might fancy comming over. PS. i would also make Jodie Broughton a priority signing for next season to replace Meli.

I look at lists like that and know that basically anybody I've heard of and would want to come to Wigan won't be leaving the NRL anytime soon. It'll be the lesser lights off that list that may come over because the big names know there's more money in the NRL.

It's been the same this season with guys like Achurch and Vikery at Leeds highlighting the lack of top quality available. They've had to take a punt and hope for the best. We didn't bother and looked like we'd rather pay transfer fees for settled superleague players and Wire didn't bother full stop.

We can forget the big names unfortunately but out of this list i'd go for;

Vatuvei
Tate
Soward
Nuuausala.

I've also heard we are very interested in signing Broughton from Salford.

Our priority has to be signing a natural number 7. After that I'd look at a prop and by that I don't mean a 2nd row who can play prop, I mean an out and out, no nonsense prop.

Jamie Soward would be a ideal signing and if he under performs again this year then SL could be a possibilty IMO.

I agre totally. A halfback has to be priority for next season and we we are also desperate for a prop.

A list of priorty postions IMO - halfback - prop - centre.

I don't think we'd go far short if we put quality in those postions

we can forget getting any real quality from the NRL, we cant compete finacially at all.
but i agree we need an actual real 7, but are there any anywhere? thats how wigan have ended up with Matty Smith, not the greatest, but i still think he's better than any of our halves

Broughton would be a good signing, anyone got a list of SL players OOC?
