They should extend the volunteer scheme to include the crowd. It's about the only way the crowds won't be a complete farce.

What are you basing this on, considering tickets haven't even gone on general sale yet?

The past indifference of rugby league fans. We can't fill stadiums for play off semi finals or club grounds for major internationals. I can't see how minnow v minnow or even the double header in Wales will attract a decent crowd.

the past indifference? our last world cup was in 2000, and you CANNOT compare to then, because look how much super league crowds have improved since then? why wouldn't internationals have the same growth?

We'll see. But you are being very naïve if you think they will draw decent crowds to World Cup games. Topping 2000's would be an achievement.

OK Saddened - serious offer here.

I am part of the RLWC2013 FLAG (Fans Liaison Action Group) representing Preston (Ireland will be based there). Dave Lyon (Bronco) is also on the group. We have our second meeting today at Media City in Salford before the final.

If you have any ideas or suggestions on making the event a success please feel free to PM me (or Dave, I'm sure) and we can take them forward. We've already met and discussed ticketing prices, offers etc and how to publicise effectively. The group has representation from a number of areas which will be hosting teams and games as far apart as Limerick and Bristol as well as more traditional RL areas.

The offer is open to anyone, not just Saddened by the way!

He's only good at moaning. You don't actually want to make suggestions to solve the issue do you. He'll sit back, let others do the work and then moan about it.
