Whats peoples thoughts on Mark this year?
He's been injured alot and i can't name a game this year that he's played in that he's been nothing but average?

If I'm being honest he's been a let down, he's been very very average.

We got what i expected.

A sold tackling squad player.

Anyone who expected anything else was im afraid falling for the line that all players in the NRL are AWESOME!!!!!

In terms of his attack he is very much in the Flannery mould, i.e. pretty boring and average. He has the grand total of 1 clean break all season and has fewer tackle busts than any other of our regular forwards. However his defence his good and he gives far less penalties away than others in his position.

All in all he has been a bit of a disappointment but hasn't let anyone down, if that makes sense. He isn't the type I don't think to make an almighty gaff and lose us an important match and he seems pretty dependable. But when everyone is fit he is borderline bench/18th man. There's a lot to be said for having Dixon in there before him and he is undoubtedly behind TP, Soliola, Wilkin and soon to be Manu in the pecking order.

Which is what I said about him when he signed for Saints, but got slated for saying it.

If the team was picked based on 2012 form, I'd pick Dixon over him.

I'd say the loss of Dixon is down to the flanaghan signing, 2 very similar players, a type of player that's needed but you don't want too many of them. Dixon's contract was due up first and so he's out, if it had been the other way around it may have been flanaghan out.

Can't recall Dixon making many errors in defence either this year. Flanaghan does look like he's going to bust through, but just fails to get through. An aggressive player though and brings that to the party which is lacking elsewhere.

I thought flanaghan showed some promise early on in the season, he was doing some aggressive defence and was also running very well with the ball but now I don't even know he's on the pitch.

Maybe he wasn't happy with super Royce going, he worked under Royce at wests so might just be a matter of him getting used to the new coaching or even finding it tough being back in UK.

Maybe we will see a better flanaghan next year.

Well it took Lance long enough to find some form and he's played every week, so can't be too harsh.

Of all our purchases this year I think Frank has been the most impressive.
