I've voted for someone.

This is another great idea by Steve Prescott. The man's a local genius. Pity we can't vote for him!

Incidentally, might it not be a good idea to post about this on the boards of our near neighbours? After all, the awards are for people who were born in St Helens or who live here. They could have been born here but live in other local towns or be from other local towns and live here.

People may not have heard of Frank Cottrell Boyce who is from Rainhill and has helped to write the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Speaking of the Olympics, in terms of the business awards, there are three St Helens based companies which have been involved in projects for the Olympics: Kalzip (constructed the roof for the acquatic centre and velodrome), Vinyline (did graphic stuff at OT and elsewhere) and Ena Shaw (curtains for the Olympic Village)
