I really don't see why not. Huddersfield are in free fall now and out of the Challenge Cup. It's highly likely that their poor form is due largely to Brown's departure and the lack of cohesion at the club. In the situation they are in, once it's announced Anderson is taking over and Brown signs for Saints, they should have parted ways there and then. It's such an awkward position as it undermines Brown's authority.
This season is a complete write off for us. We've persisted with Wellens at fullback and brought in Hohaia to play in the halves. It was only ever going to end one way for us after making those decisions. Us knowing we were losing Royce early on also meant we lacked direction and leadership. KC and Rush taking over hasn't changed anything really, they are just trying to get the most out of what we have rather than worrying too much about establishing game plans, defensive patterns and attacking moves. Hence the reason we're doing better against most sides, as we're just playing on instinct, and why we're so far behind Wigan as we're not prepared properly.
This season is going to end with us losing in the playoffs to Wigan most probably. I really can't see any reason why Brown couldn't come in now. Why not get the bad period of results when he changes the systems on the field and the lineup now rather than at the start of next season? Us taking on Brown is a risk and he is a coach that will disassemble the existing systems to build his own, which will mean we're in for a horrendous few months. I just think getting that out of the way now, during this awful, pointless season then starting next season firing, is better than us being mid table come this time next season and having a poor start to another season.
