I'd love to hear someone from the club give a proper explanation. He was very quick, had size and the club had spent a lot of time bringing him through the system. He gets to the senior academy, seemed to be scoring tries for fun and they release him.
We have a horrific record of bringing through outside backs and fullbacks. I had high hopes for this one.
There were a few poster, although one was Rogues, who didn't seem to rate him. I think they would say his basic skills were poor.
He was apparently fast, I've seen that he was big and match reports suggest that he was good under a high ball (certainly in attack). After he left us, though, he went to Wakey who decided not to keep hold, so we're not alone in our assessment.

Didn't he just get a better/more concrete offer from Salford? I read that he went to Wakefield for a spell, but didn't actually sign for them and then Salford made him an offer, which he accepted. The story went that Wakefield were surprised to see him turn up to play for Salford.
Rogues opinion on youth players is useless, it's so warped with bias.
