Speculation on 2sm this afternoon that the Eels have a Board meeting tonight to discuss the appointment of Nathan Brown. Quality choice. 1/2

Brown's problem though would be getting complete control, & a preparedness to work with that Board the later the most difficult element. 2/2

Presumably Brown will have a get-out clause if an NRL club comes
a-knocking.

Would we go for Daniel Anderson if this were true?

It seems rather strange to sign a 3 year deal and then go elsewhere before even taking it up.

Not really, he's always stated his desire to coach in the NRL. It's been the reason for Huddersfield's collapse pretty much every year since he's been in this country. If the Eels want him, he should take it and we should let him. There is no point signing a coach who doesn't want to be here.

What is perhaps slightly worrying is that it appears we may have made a signing or two based on his ideas for next season, which might turn out to be more wasted recruitment if he doesn't take the job.

If Saints have agreed to a get-out clause, for the first 2 years at least, they want their bumps feeling.
