What a difference it has made playing Lance outside of Lomax. It appears to have given him confidence to play his true game again. I have said in previous posts that it was a mistake to play two young halves together at the top level. The way the forwards have shaped up in the last two games have also contributed to Lomax's improved form. I have watched replays of the last two games and Lomax has been instrumental in most of the tries scored. He is still young and comparatively inexperienced but with patience and good coaching he has the makings of being the best number seven in super league.

Agree with that,Lance has taken a load off Lomax and hes looking all the better for it,also the way Rush and KC have the team playing now suits Lomax far more

I was thinking earlier about the predicament Gaskell finds himself in now. Lance and Lomax look like they could compliment each other quite well, so would it be worth sending Gaskell on loan to a club like Widnes or Leigh and giving him regular intense competition rather than playing for the U21's?

Dual reg would be good for Gaskel i think,hes far to good for the u20s and like you say needs that step up.

His defence is top notch mate.

If I was playing against saints id target shenton who's having problems in all all aspects of his game due to his arm but looks weak in defence.

Lance hohaia can also get caught out in defence wgen he goes high but you'll get nothing out of lomax.

They will target him to tire him out, and reduce his offensive threat. Not because he is a poor defender

Catalan did that really successfully against us at Langtree park, and by the last 15 minutes Lomax was completely shot to pieces physically, and unable to offer anything in attack

Wigan will be fresh as daisies against us on friday. They rested both Oloughlin and Richards, and Tomkins and Mossop apparently played no more than 30 minutes of the match against Salford.

Sean Wayne is clearly targeting the Saints match for a big win, and personally i can see it, as i think Wigan will be physically a game too far for us to get up for. We were flagging for the last 30 mins against wire. So next Friday i think we will struggle to handle Wigan.
