Read on RedVee they've heard from a trusted source that Jamie Lyon has re signed for the club & will be playing for us in 2013. But there's no details on when the announcement will officially be made. Hope this is true.

So do I, but I also hope people don't think he'll be the same Jamie Lyon that was here the previous time. He'll be far better than what we have in whatever position he plays in, but he won't be the same Jamie. Imagine a slightly quicker Gidley rather than the rampaging score from 90m Lyon we had last time. It's been what 6 years now and he'll be 31.

Yeah i agree. He obviously won't be the same as he used to be but still hope he'll be playing for us next year.

Put Foster outside of Lyon next season, and Foster will walk in for about 25 tries.

Would be a great signing for you.

I remember when Wigan were going through a tough time and we spent a huge proportion of our salary cap on ageing has-been Aussie's to try and stem the rot. Looks like your following suit.

Doubt it but if he came it would be for halfback not centre surely

Not really interested in Lyon. It was nearly six years ago now since he played. Does anybody seriously think he's going to be able to perform at that level again when he's 31, in a competition that's also significantly tougher than it was back then.

I don't beleive the rumour, but the NRL is hardly got easier in the last 6 years. I think as a club we have become fixated with youth. We need balance to a side, not just the next new thing. A bit of experience in the halves would be nice. But like I say I don't beleive the rumour. Not unless one of the current 5 clearly wants out.
