I was talking to TP in hattons hospitality lounge after the game and he's had a reaction to the shoulder he had a op on in the close season and didbt sound to positive about it.

Hope it's not serious or we down to just two out and out props at the club.

He's getting on a bit now so I would imagine any injury he does have will take longer to heal.

I was more concerned about Shenny and his elbow tbh. TP doesn't exactly work his butt off and so his absence could be filled by one of our eager young guys that we have just promoted. Shenny is a player we need.

Shenton's injury did look worrying but he appeared to carry on without any side effects, setting up makinsons try with a gidley pass. I imagine he may be a bit sore today and wouldn't be surprised to see him rested next week. I think it will take time for him to have confidence in his recovery. As for TP he seems to be a shadow of the player he was behore his injuries and contract extension last season. Hopefully he can rediscover his form, our front tow definitely needs an on form Tp if we are going to go much this year.

I watched shenton very close last night as I missed the game at hull kr so was interested in seeing how he was. Even from the first few mins he was carrying that arm and not tackling fully how he used to. It's understandable due to the nature of his injury.

He seemed to just get the elbow strapped up and get on with it.

pheww, glad we got WAterhouse instead of him now. Sounds like another over the hill player!

Lucky we didn't swap Ben Harrison for him then ain't it as the wolves was moving heaven and earth to sign him last year.

tbh I still want him. True class and, apart from Soliola in parts, was the only forward worth anything last night!

TP did have our best carries in terms of hitting the defensive line and still keeping going.

It's probably his turn for a rest next week anyway as Perry, Clough and LMS have all had a week off.
