In all fairness, his post about the atmosphere is true from some points in the match. I remember pointing it out at the time.
The atmosphere was non existent. The crowd made no noise at all. Having the 'noisy' fans behind the sticks is a big mistake in terms of atmosphere.
I know people on here will implode with fury at the heresy, but our fans aren't passionate enough to create an atmosphere. We don't get behind the team unless they are playing well. Knowsley Road was like a morgue until the likes of Wigan, Warrington and Leeds were in town. When they were the atmosphere was great, the low roof and having the singers on the half way line helped a lot. At the new ground, they are at the end of the pitch with the roof twice as high and a huge hole where the noise will drift out rather than bounce off.
