This year, referees will signal ‘six again’ to reward the attack with another set in position opposed to blowing the penalty and stopping play.
As it stands in the NRL, the referee will blow the penalty and the recipient will either tap or kick for touch while the new rule will allow play to continue with the tackles added to the count forcing the opposition to defend for another set.
