Just seen this from Saints website http://www.saintsrlfc.com/news/page/1494 Hope we see all 20 of the images sponsored in time for the stadium go live. Was amazing to see Vol, Coslett and Ward up there. Just imagine when the likes of Murphy, Karalius, Ellaby, etc get their pics immortalised. The pics were very popular with fans, and i personally think £1.5k is a snip for a business looking for some publicity. Especially as it works out at just £300 a year. For which you not only get brand recognition but fans posting pics and videos over the internet of the same pics, further increasing said companies exposure.

I wish they would make the photos so they expand into bigger photos on that site, it's so lets down the advert to buy it, you wanna see it in all its glory!!!!

I've never understood the legend status of Kevin Ward at Saints. He was a great player and his career ended in tragic circumstances, but he was well into his thirties when he joined Saints. A Cas legend, I would agree with.

It's a little like calling Alan Davies (the best British centre I have ever seen) a Wigan legend when he spent the majority of his career at Oldham.

How is it derailing the thread when I'm talking about one of those "legends"
Is there a full list? I would certainly have had Alan Prescott and Cliff Watson ahead of a player who I doubt played 100 games for Saints.

Wardy may have only been here 3 seasons but if you saw him every week like we did you'd understand why he has legendary status.He carried the pack on numerous occasions and even at 32/33 was far from past it.I've yet to see a Saints prop who hit the defences as hard as him.

Probably because you never watched him as a Saints fan?

Mal Meninga is seen by many as a Saints legend and played about 50 less games for Saints than Wardy did.

Funny how Wigan fans sing songs about Brett Kenny, who played all of 25 games for Wigan. His legend seems to live on over the hill.
