I bored at work and started thinking about saints imports, and then thought what is our best Australia 17 & Nz 17 that have/will play for saints?

If the Aussie side had half backs, they would smash the Kiwi side. The Aus backline is scary.

Either of those teams would demolish England.

Swap Gidley and Lyon and you have someone who's had a decent amount of game time at 6... just missing a decent 7

How on earth does Flannery getin at No 13 before Paul Vautin. Oh I forgot, he does the basics well.

Think some people would be a tad insulted. Apollo for NZ? Surely he wasd Samoan through and through.

Maurie too, GB and Samoa. Played for Samoa in both the 2003 and this year's RU World Cup and made his GB RL debut against New Zealand.

How does Hohaia get in the team when he's never even pulled on a Saints jersey yet????

What that does illustrate to me is that real top level half backs from Oz/NZ don't come over to England to ply their trade....either that or Saints dont want them.

I guess having Longy at 7 for over 10 years probably impacted on the team selection, but I think its interesting.

Im guessing Tricky Trindall the last NRL half back to sign for Saints? And we all know how that fiasco turned out.
