Refereeing today : Sun Sep 18, 2011 6:47 pm
Just had a text that said the penalty count was 11-4 in their favour. Is that true or is it the other way round. What the hell is that about? Wigan's anti-rugby tactics mean every single play the ball they defend is penalisable. Throw in the fact they had Coley and O'Loughlin head hunting as per usual and it seems very silly. I thought he got a few things very wrong today and could have cost us, particularly at the end of the first half when he went on a mission with three or four penalties that were rather mysterious in terms of any offence actually being committed. And the O'Loughlin/Wilkin incident where Frodo takes off after the tackle and Wilkin is penalised.Luckily the video referee was more human, who was it today? The Goons weren't impressed, they are discussing how the Charnley try was a clear try, how they've been robbed and how they can't even figure out why it was disallowed The clue is in the fact that he grounded it and his forward momentum had stopped. Him being thrown over the line after that is completely irrelevant.
