Not sure whether this should be on the rumours thread but its really more an observation.
I really rate him and like his attitude and he has a couple more years left in him. He is moving back to cumbria but he is quoted as saying
"... he reckons he still has something to offer Super League and will not rule out joining a team in the north". which sounds like a come and get me sort of statement.

What does anyone else think?
Should we go after him (I don't think he would cost a fortune)?

Not for me. Good player, but I don't think we have a home for him. I think he'd fill the role we already have Wilkin in. I think we're after Indians in the forwards, not Chiefs.

Sign him if he's cheap. We can't really be at the cap limit. They are just holding it all back because Jammer might get sunburn and realise he prefers Blackpool to Bondi.

No chance is taking over his deceased brothers duties running the family farm. Will probably be involved in some coaching role with Egremount.

has said he will make a decision around christmas about his future. Would be a shame if he packed it in, good player just took too many injuries. A fine ambassador for the game in London though

Rob Purdham is a fine player. He would get in your squad too and probably every squad in SL. There aren't many better English backrowers/loose forwards than him.

Would rather see Magennis get some time in the back row than Purdham TBH.

Good player like, but not what we need. Hope he goes to Widnes/Salford and improves them.

Purdham is a real solid player and true grafter add to that a complete gentleman, he says he just has to return home now, at first he discussed not playing then perhaps joining a championship club and now a super league club that is not far to drive to, wish him well he deserves it!
