The problem in this country is no English coaches do a long enough apprenticeship and go straight into the top job without learning the trade.
Cullen, Harrison, sharpe, agar, McNamara are few names off the top of my head that didn't do enough time as assistants and jumped straight in to the hot seat and failed.
The Aussie coaches that come over usually have served time as assistants and learned the trade.
This country thinks nothing of throwing young untried coaches in the depp end and also think nothing of getting shut very quickly.
I'd like to see the current super league sides to employ young coaches as their assistants, let them learn and then give them the job.
