Newton Storm win a £5,000 makeover with Engage Mutual
Super League title sponsor Engage Mutual, in partnership with the RFL, has just informed us that Newton Storm is one of two community clubs to win a facilities makeover worth up to £5000. We recently registered to take part in a volunteering initiative with Engage Mutual to have an ‘engage with your club’ day to spruce up the current facilities ahead of the new season. Whilst registering we had the opportunity to justify how we could make use of a £5000 club makeover. Newton Storm was one of over 60 community clubs nationwide to apply for the makeovers and was successful along with Hunslet Warriors. Our committee will work with Engage Mutual and the RFL Community Department to make the very most of the budget but as an additional challenge, the funding is only available for one weekend so we need as many people to turn up to the club to help with all the tasks as possible. More details will follow but please keep the weekend of 13th & 14th August free! We’ll need willing working so we’re asking all members, supporters, friends, family and people from the local community if they can donate their time and energy to turn up and collectively work on renovations and improvements. http://www.engagemutual.com/rugby |
