Maybe it's because he's not been given a chance at hooker. He couldn't get in last year as KC was starting 9 with roby coming off the bench.
He had a chance at Hudds and he has played at hooker while at Saints. Not often, but when Keiron was injured he slotted in with Roby.
This year roby is doing 80 mins every week which means he can't get a look in at 9 again this year.
The question forms in my mind: Why has Roby been playing 80 minutes rather than being spelled with Moore?
As you've said many many times, the only way we know if they are good enough is by playing them.
As you know, I only ever make that comment in relation to newbies. We need to give newbies a good chance to show us what they are made of, not write them off because they aren't immediately world beaters in their particular position (as some fans are inclined to do). Scott Moore is no longer a newbie. But he does make a handy second rower I think.
