Good game from Kyle on Friday.

Whilst he didn't look quite as match sharp as he can do in terms of his darting runs, he came on, got involved, worked and took ball playing responsibilty. That's the commitment I want to see while he finishes his stay at Saints.

Thankyou Kyle for getting yourself together. Let's put the nonsense of the last few months behind us and concentrate on finishing the season with some silverwear.

That said, I thought the side as a whole looked poorer once Gaskell was moved out the wing, mainly due to the lack of long kicking and therefore field position.
He also got himself over the line twice in his limited time in the centre of the field (being held up once), showing he also has a threat with ball in hand.

Eastmond is by far the better player of the two. He is the most talented young player we've produced in decades. He does the little things so well, the lines he runs and the angles and pace of his passing is brilliant. Watching Kyle glide across the pitch, as if he's hovering sideways, before passing to a centre is a brilliant sight.

I for one hope he fails in Union and comes back to us. (Not that he would after how you lot behaved over that). It's such a shame we won't see him develop to his full potential at Saints.

Gaskell is a plucky kid, who can't defend any better than Kyle. He's nervous and awkward and needs another couple of years to fill out his skin, never mind be up to playing Super League. He might make it, but I've not seen much to suggest he'll 'make it' at Saints. Lomax is another matter, I think he'll be a fixture for years.

gaskell a lot better then eastmond in defences just look at tackles made and tackles missed

Seems a little over the top. Eastmond has all of the talent to be a great player, but he has yet to put it together with any consistency. He should be a stand out player more often, and be more clinical with his passing and kicking. I was disappointed when he announced he would leave, but we were all still watching and waiting to see if he could step up to being a great player.

Spot on. Eastmond had potential (alot of it) but he is along way from the finished article

That is kind of looking on the bright side of him leaving imo. The last 12 months have been a write off for one reason or another, but before that, Kyle was the 1st choice scrum half for England.

He may not have been the finished article, but the form he showed in the first half of last season but him head and shoulders above many established half backs.

The last 6 months have called into question his mental strengths and the form of Loamx has brightened our picture, making us realise there's life after Eastmond, but Kyle's a real talent who's going to go to waste standing on the wing at Bath. A real shame.

Eastmond played a few good games and Stevo had him up as world class, he then got injured, and really hasnt been the same since, getting injury after injury.

Everytime he gets up he looks like he's pulled something, at his best and fully fit he has the potential to be world class but i've not seen him anywhere near that even long before he signed for the dark side.

I reckon he'll be back in RL within 2 years after he leaves, probably signing for Salford.

Thing is if you ever want to be a truely world class player you need mental toughness and a professional attitude. I think Eastmond maybe lacking in those departments. The fact that Eastmond became first choice for England is just a poor reflection on the other available options at the time.
