Those damn Goons : Fri Mar 18, 2011 9:40 pm
We need to start copying their defensive coaching. I'd get Gruntfuttock and his Mrs to get photographing their training sessions once the stadium is built. Their defense in this game tonight has been utterly sensational. It's so good it's mind boggling.

As a team, they are, individually at least, utterly average. Several of their players, as individuals, wouldn't interest many SL sides. They've only got a couple of players tonight you would say are anything approaching dangerous. Their attack tonight, and most nights I've seen them, is utterly rubbish. They are however an amazing collective unit, one that looks like it could defend until October and still not concede enough to win a game against them.

I reckon you could drive a bus at that line and it wouldn't break more than once or twice a game. We can't stop Louie Anderson hopping on one leg.

D wins you games in any sport. And theirs is a model of excellence. Had Roberts not been doing impressions of Richie Mathers, Huddersfield would not have scored if they kept playing for a year.

No one can ever accuse me of being biased or afraid to praise a rival club. I says what I see, as I've always done.

Then why did they let Hudds fluff four try scoring opportunities? C'mon. It was good but it wasn't impenetrable! Hudds were their own worst enemies tonight.

It was good watching Amos deal with those bombs! He made Meli look competent!

They were missing the current Man of Steel and the current young player of the year who is their best player by a distance. They also had one of their starting props missing. And still they held Huddersfield to 6. On this seasons form we'd be lucky to limit the Giants to 6 tries never mind 6 points.

Huddersfield broke the Wigan line numerous times but they couldn't finish there chances that was the problem for Huddersfield.

Huddersfield let themselves down tonight re- the fluffing of tries etc. They showed Wigan's defence is penetrable. they could have had three or four tries and fluffed them. Saying that though Wigan got the rub of the green on many occasion tonight. It's the end of the season that counts.
Hope Cas can beat the Bulls on Sunday to take them back to the top

They do that better than we do as well. What's wrong with just admitting their defense is, to quote The Miz, awesome?
