He didn't say that at all. He said that he saw Francis coming and that ten years ago he (Pryce) might have beat him bit that he (Pryce) is getting old now.

As sad as it is, Meli is still our most threatening back (apart from Lomax when fit) and he always seems to cause defences problems. If there is nothing else available we could do worse than re-signing Meli for another year. It's the halves and props we should be more worried about.

Just been reading the Saints website review of the match. Firstly, yes we have a lot of players out, but this sentence is the key for me. ...The home side were missing James Roby, Tony Puletua, Mark Flanagan, Jonny Lomax, Josh Perry, Willie Manu, Ade Gardner and Anthony Walker so could only bring Lance Hohaia in at six for Paul Wellens who moved to his new position of 13.... http://www.saintsrlfc.com/news/page/2914 We could only bring Lance into number 6 as we have palmed off all the halves, not because we have alot of players injured. As I said, the wing spots are less of a priority when we have no direction in the halves and a lack of grunt up front. Recruitment is more vital in that area than on the wing. I'd rather us sign quality at half back and prop than be looking to waste quota spots and large amounts of salay cap on a winger.

So we play a young guy on the wing instead. Not a bloody 35 year old.

Very true. No arguements from me there.

So whilst our pack will improve this year, which would be enough to turn over yesterdays result. Lance in the halves is a 4 year waste of time that is acting as a block for other players, money wise, overseas wise and playing wise.

Sorry but can we stop adding 2 years to the guys age. He's only 33.

Brett hodgson is a year older than him and plays as a running back.


For me it's simple if you are good enough you are old enough. If there was a better 20 year old there would be no arguements, but put quite simply there is not.

Would not be surprised to see meli line up for the exiles again this year.
