Don't know what is going on at Saints, but it seems like for every sensible signing there has to be a Jack Owens type player signed, someone not good enough for a smaller club!

Tommy Lee was made captain at Crusaders by Brian Noble and captain at Salford by Tim Sheens. He has now been bought by Kieran Cunniham.
Might I suggest that those three know a little bit about both leadership and playing hooker? He has been signed to give James Roby a breather not to build your team around. He may turn out to be a decent buy.
