I agree - nobody is immune from criticism if justified and delivered in a sensible way - however what we saw yesterday from the usual suspects ( who by their own admission never went to the game ) was the unjustified criticism of a player who had made a significant contribution to earning us our sixth win of the seasoning in difficult circumstances compounded by the use of terms such as muppet and snail. Surely we don't want to see a player of Wellos standing (or any other player for that matter ) referred to in this way.

Which just shows we are willing to squeeze him in anywhere. Apart from Wakey he's been used as a forward which is ridiculus when we have players like Flanaghan sat in the stands not to mention the other promising young forwards who would benefit from a 20 minute spell far more than Wello. I have no idea how he made the bench/team when we had a virtual full strenght team, he must have some belting photo's of some important people is all can say.

You may have a controversial but valid point.
Whilst he's not the standard of #6 we want, is he better or worse than lance?
Whilst Wello's handling is slow, he doesn't crab ad destroy space like Hohaia does.
Lance has a bit of magic in his armoury and a bit of a kicking game, but he's also a little crazy in defence out wide.

I've been one of those against Wello just coming in at 65/70 mins but at 6 on Sunday, he created 3 tries that I saw, one from a kick and two well timed passes. You can't really ask more than that and it's more than Lance has ever done there

Sounds like not only was wello the only option. He was the better option.
