Fairly irrellevant, in that any deal would surely have a superleague clause in it. Relavant in the fact that it will mean a transfer fee would be in order.

But Leigh would still be entitled to a transfer fee. So if it were Brierley then it would have made more sense to sign him before he signed for Leigh.

I'm not suggesting its him that Saints have made a move for, more just hypothosising.

I don't think I've ever seen Rogues post something that doesn't include the words 'Wigan', 'U19s' or 'Hampshire' at some point.

You cant possibly know that. He may have a clause that allows him to leave for nothing to a SL side if he chooses. He may have turned down Cas because he didnt want to travel or relocate and the contract extension could be to keep him out of the hands of another team in the same division. I am of course speculating but thats all any of us can do

The encouraging thing in all this is that Big Mac has openly admitted we are in the market for a 6, which says that the club as a whole have given a big thumbs down to Hohaia playing in the halves. Thank sweet baby Jesus for that.

The words I would be looking for is a 'Quality proven 6' . Like you say though at least we are acknowledging we have a problem

Having accepted the Chairman's statement that we are not signing Timid Tim and that we need a stand off, this is what we have known since Leon Pryce left the club.
The fact is that we have not got one ( but we have Wilkin at 6) and it again looks like we won't get one of top quality. By the way, EM's performance on Boots n' All was so very predictable that he needn't have bothered
