I thought it was a creditable performance from Saints.
As i thought with Roby in the team the forwards get a lot more go forward due to his distribution and general threat around the ruck.
Our weaknesses were as follows:
Wello at Fullback who was targeted by Brough with his booming kicks. They knew full well that he would only be able to trundle it back and made our forwards return it from deep first half
Percival. Targeted heavily for the second week in a row defensively. I wont blame him for the Brough try though as that was Wilkin being stood up. However ive noted that when teams get on top of him as they have for the last few weeks, his game starts to crumble somewhat.
Half backs looked lost, however both showed bits of promise. Turner scored a decent try and o'brien looks a good passer of the football, cant tackle to save his life though, and saw none of his supposed kicking game.
Best player on the pitch was Manu who looked class. Puletua and Walmsley also had strong games.
What we need though is to go with certain combinations and stick with them.
If Lomax is back next week then he has to go to fullback.
I see a few fools are calling for Browns head
The simple answer is that whoever is in charge they wont have a chance with a team with no half backs of merit. The time to judge Brown is next year when we will have a scrum half and hopefully Lomax playing regularly at fullback.
