Thought Wilkin was excellent today, Royce seems to have improved his game, something Mick Potter failed to do.

I think the competition for places as also give wilkin a kick up the backside which IMO he really needed. Royce likes using the Aussie tactic of putting a big man at loose forward like TP, magennis or clough which in effect is like having 3 props, the Aussies do it a lot with the likes of Paul gallan who's like a 3rd prop.
With royce doing this, means wilkin has a fight on his hands for his fave postion at 13. Even if he looses his 13 postion the is also a battle for the backrow when everyone is fit and IMO wilkin knows nobody's postion is safe now under Royce Simmons.
It's great to see Jon wilkin back to his best and doing things he used to do like attack! I honestly think he become to comfortuble under anderson and potter as did few others.
People on here get the wrong perception with me about wilkin and think I don't like him, that's wrong, I think he's a very very good attacking backrow but really frustrates me that he don't put in attacking displays more often when IMO that's the best thing in his game.
Well done Jon wilkin.
