I really love these supporters of other teams, (they have to be with all the negativity) trying to wind people up with their FACTS and saying for certain that it WONT be finished on time, I said earlier in this thread, it could come in ahead of time, or it could over run, The FACT is none of us know , we are ALL just speculating, some people for reasons of their own, some people because they dont want to be disappointed, watch and wait is all we can do and having pointless arguments with Salford supporters about whos stadium is being built quicker than whose is a waste of time
Plenty of other supporters visit other club websites and voice opinions, it is you who always seems to come over as defensive, at the end of the day people are only stating their personal opinion! I was born in the town and still live here, so I feel I can voice my opinion, I visit no other club websites than Quins and St Helens.
I still stand firm that statements from the club should not be made making promises, like meetings or completion dates unless they are fact, and no I would put it in capitals! LOL
I would`nt have to be "defensive" as you put it if people cut the club some slack i agree its frustrating that there isnt a stadium springing up from the site as we speak there is nothing anyone can do about that but trust the club, i am sure they are working as hard as they can to move things along after all it is their money , and KR is a huge drain on the finances of the club, so it is in the clubs interest to move things along, asap, the thing that frustrates me the most is the suggestion that the club are lying to the fans, to what end? do they think we are so stupid that eventually we will notice there isnt a stadium, ? i doubt it, some people sem to want to blow this up into a massive conspiricy of some kind , quite why i dont know.

I don't know about people wanting to blow it into a conspiracy, but it is undeniable that there have certainly been some communication 'issues' from the club.
Like you, I am willing to give the club the benefit of the doubt and assume that their hands are tied by legal constraints, other partners, etc. I also have no grasp of the complexities involved in such a difficult process, but I can fully understand the frustration of some supporters who are less patient.
Subsequently, there have been many projected dates, with some of these missing the mark by as much as 7 months - with no explanation or update from the club (e.g. http://www.sthelensstar.co.uk/news/4431 ... _December/)
There's also the stories that I can't find about season ticket events to choose seats at the new stadium, detailed CGI modelling of the stadium, etc. which hasn't materialised. Although I personally can appreciate that this delay is more than likely out of Saints' hands, I can also understand some fans mentality who will simply feel that Eamonn McManus's talk of an announcement this week (which now looks unlikely) is just the latest unfulfilled promise by a club that seems to pick and choose when, and what, it wants to communicate. I just hope that the club address this one instead of hoping we all just forget the chairman told us there would be a detailed announcement this week.

Credit to you! Big Mac must be happy with such a loyal follower as you clearly are, still think the club could do with some lessons in PR and even Marketing!!!
erm i thought thats what the term Supporter meant , Supporting your club !!, the development is HUGE covering Housing at KR the Tescos and the Stadium, so hiccups are bound to happen, the week ISNT over, or do you knock off on Thursdays keep the faith

I Hope we all are Supporters! but that does not being Sheep just Believing anything we are told and it also means asking questions at times, that is being constructive, it is The Club that comes first before those who may run it.
I can assure you I do not have hi-cups, but if I did I would not hold my breath as is recommended, when it is anything about this build and an announcement this week! - LOL

We bought a barn behind our house to convert, it took over a year to get planning permission by which time we couldn't afford to do it so we sold it. That was 2 1/2 years ago and the new owners got permission to start work on the conversion last Friday. And that's just a building that's already there being turned into a house.

Elsewhere Rogues has reported that on Radio Manchester tonight they said that there wouldn't be an announcement this week but that Saints hoped to make an announcement next week instead.
