BUT, if you were "head hunted" by another company and offered a far better salary, with fringe benefits (car, pension etc) the surely you would consider it. As I've said previously Saints will have a max value for Savelio. If another club want to pay more than that then Saints have a big decision to make. Personally I would stick to my guns and let him go, because it will cause further problems down the line when the next young stars come knocking at the chairmans door asking for salaries that the club don't think are justified.
Savelio is a very good prospect, but that's all he is at the moment. What happens if he doesn't fulfill that potential and you finish up paying him way above market rate for four or five years?
