Question for the Wigan fans - do they REALLY think someone like Paul Wellens would say a fellow pro bit him if they didn't?
I can't speak for others but No I don't. I think that at the time Wellens thought he was. Wellness was however pushing his arm into MM's face, effectively into his mouth. From the video There was no obvious biting action from MM. If he did indeed 'clamp down' I'm sure he would have left a mark for the ref to see and include in his report.
It is also very possible that Wellens felt MM's teeth as he was shoving his arm into his mouth and therefore felt as though he was bitten even though he wasn't. I can understand most St Helens fans thinking that would be nonsense, particularly as people love to hate MM but it is feasible.
As I said before I honestly can't draw any conclusion from the evidence and will wait for the disciplinary rather than making the conclusion that I would prefer.
