Wasn't it you that started spouting about business, turnover and profit ?
Yes in response to your "Wigan are lucky to be able to afford transfer fees" to show that it isn't luck at all.
And then of course you revert to type with "Wigan don't own their own ground"
But, it would appear that Wigan are being run as a profitable business without owning their own stadium yet other clubs who do are losing hundreds of thousands of pounds per year.
Anyway back to signings. Clubb and to some extent Hopkins are the ones I'm not sure about, I think the other four will be assets to the squad.
Its most likely that Wigan have topped out now on turnover, ticket sales are around 4.3 m and the sky donation is around 1.2m this means IL has managed further income stream of 700k. However the club doesn,t really have any asset value, They did allow Orrell rugby union club to go bust so I suppose they have asset value on the training ground. Think IL can see reduced turnover in the future, the RFL deficiency effecting his club with reduced funding and possible sponsorship, hence his actions against the RFL.
I would say the below is the main asset before Orrell.

I've not seen enough of Hopkins to comment. Clubb is a decent player to be honest. He's not great but will do a job. I
It will be interesting to who will play, you seem to have a lot of forwards.
Rumour mill up here today in cumbria, Tilley and Wheeler going out to Barrow Raiders on a long term loan. Can anybody close to the club confirm if this is rubbish or a reality.

Are you including Warrington in this sweeping generalisation?
Last year Warrington made £300k profit with a greater turn-over than Wigan's whose paltry profit of £28k was on the back of £240k of received transfer fees, without these Wigan would have lost £212k.
