We shouldn't have abandoned the magic sponge. Clearly that is what is missing here. With the magic sponge, Perry's hand would have healed instantly!

I just think it's all very depressing. We have a team good enough to beat anyone but we can't watch them and Royce can't coach them. He has to keep picking up pieces and starting over again. It must be driving him nuts.

With ten first teamers out (or whatever its up to now), going to Hudds and getting a win would be optimistic, if not insane. Having said that, the frustration must be incredible, for players, coaches and the fans.

I think where you are in the table is testament to the effort of all those who have come in to the side as cover. Also, the restructuring of key positions ie, halves, is going to cause problems to anyone. Is it four out now (Eastmond, Pryce, Lomax and Wheeler)?

Personally, I'd be quietly impressed and just look forward to the return of your injured players.

Easy for me to say though I guess.

Didn't your team against Huddersfield have 11 internationals in it?

No. I don't know where you got that notion from. Would love to have that many internationals in our side! As is, we had four playing: Wilkin, Roby, Shenton and Graham. Wello, Gardner and Meli are all very much former internationals, past their prime. No others playing on Saturday have played against Australia or New Zealand at senior level. So someone is telling you porkies.

Soliola is a recent NZ international, and Perry played for Aus in the '08 WC. Didn't do us any good, mind, as one had a mare and the other went off injured.

I didn't count Perry because he went off injured so counts as 'off injured' rather than 'played' in my book. Soliola - when did he last play for NZ then? I mean, we could count Meli for Samoa in the world cup or Wello in the world cup, too. For mine, Soliola is a former international, since he wasn't chosen to play last year was he?

I think probably more of the Hudds team counted as current internationals than in our team on Saturday.

I never said he did.

Saints has more International players in their team than Huddersfield did on Saturday.
Wigan went to Huddersfield with nine players missing and won.
