A great game in which lack of men and inexperience cost us. Losing two men playing in that heat always meant that we were going to be running on empty at the end, which we were as the defence showed.
Not many teams would have gone into a game with Wigan at the Pie Dome with their first three choice half backs missing, then lose their fourth choice half back before half time, and still come within 30 seconds of a win. Our young players made mistakes, the Lomax kick through at the end was an error, but it's the kind of mistake that you must accept that a young player will make in his development. If he's any good he'll learn from it.
We will take more positives from that game than Wigan will.
