Although there are some decent wingers in the championship, shouldn't we be setting our sights a little higher? We should have plenty left in the salary cap due to the players out. If we want to win trophies i think we need to sign an extremely talented outside back rather than a capable one.

If nobody better is available then we don't have much choice. Just because some players are in the Championship, doesn't mean they can't step up to a top team in Super League.

I agree that it is possible for a championship player to step up. However, i would of liked a signing to be of notable talent. That way we have a potentially world class player and the hype that would come with signing him would help lift us all after the GF. You do make a very valid point that there may have been nobody available so i suppose in that case we would have to look elsewhere.
