Mugwump mocking mental illness for a second time -

"You are mentally ill and I can't indulge your madness any more"

Utter disgusting abusive remark from a keyboard warrior

The players, from all teams, have an unspoken rule of what happens on the field stays on the field, and most are more than likely disgusted that he is considering a legal challenge on a fellow player. But you can tell he I that sort of guy just by looking at him, and with the help of a couple of ambulance chasers he's going to try his luck, after all, its downhill from now on, no-one else is likely to take him on.

Your correct, it's not rocket science. The players wished him well in person as mates do.

Also, what proof have you got that he is considering legal action? Maybe you should wait for facts before writing disgusting posts with no facts.

What utter BS that players have a rule that it stays on the pitch. Who decided that? Do all pros sign this unofficial disclaimer ?

If Ben flower has ended his career from that assault and took future earnings away from him and his familly then maybe HES entitled to feel hard done by. If someone at your work ( im guessing you work) assaulted you and you couidnt do your job ever again and lost lots of money would you day " what happened at work stays there?"

There might be a slant on this that nobody has noticed, as recurrent concussion symptoms are temporary, and should have passed in the 6 months, maybe Lance is aggrieved at the after care he has received from his employers, rather than the incidents leading up to it.

Whilst he's suffering still from concussion symptoms, if he should suffer a 2nd concussion during this time, he could suffer a permanent disabling brain injury. He clearly needed time out of the game to recover. He's no doubt weighed this decision up with knowing he'd be retiring soon anyway. It would be foolish to risk his longterm health in the latter stages of his career.

I would hazard a guess that there's far more to this than meets the eye when you consider this from just 2 weeks ago: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-league/32321061

Have you read that link ? He doesn't even mention the NRL.

Very misleading headline.

I was told weeks ago that leaving the game was most likely as he's moving to the US with his wife. Whether these symptoms are a part of that remains to be seen.

Yeah, I was more referring to "I've no concrete plans in place as yet, we're still just enjoying the season and the summer months that are coming ahead.

"I haven't made any definitive decisions on the future just yet."

From that it appears that he had no intentions to retire just 2 weeks later. I take your point though.

I normally don’t post much on here I just tent to read and see opinions but here’s my view.

When I heard the news last night I was fuming inside. I have never hated Wigan until now. Their thugary is criminal, their ground situation is pathetic, their fans treat flower like a hero. I have lost all respect for them now and reading some of the crap that is on cherry and white is ridiculous. I’m at the point where I don’t even care about the upcoming derby score line as long as we get involved. I hope we cage up Mose and feed him raw meat for the next few weeks. If I was Wane Flower would not play in the derby. I’m sick of Wigan dragging RL through the mud.

Still waiting for news on how flower caused lance to retire

To be beaten is a setback - to give up is terminal

Re: Lance Hohaia Retires : Fri May 22, 2015 10:16 pm
Revenge is served cold I fully expect a claim just when the thug Flower least expects it. The reality remains that Fliwer should have been arrested at ghd time and it remains s blight on GMP that not one of their officers felt if within their remit to enter the field of play to effect an arrest. For clarity Ben Clower has blocked me on Twitter as he couldn't cope with this debate.

He remains and always will be an absolute coward.

So someone blocking you on Twitter for abusive behaviour makes someone a coward?

Good to know.

As for this situation, sadly for you guys the onus is on St Helens RLFC.

They played Hohaia when he was suffering from post concussion symptoms. Any legal professional would have a field day with that in court.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Re: Lance Hohaia Retires : Mon May 25, 2015 4:05 pm
Well I guess this thread is a nice distraction for the Wiganers, from their own immediate concerns.
