As someone who's completely neutral about him, there are odd times when he's the last person you'd want to see running the ball at your defence. But he has to do it at the right point in the game for it to work - almost like a fat Rob Burrow

Well, maybe not. But he is occasionally capable of something different. With your other props, I'd say you could afford the luxury of him not doing it all the time.

Replacement like who though? We're struggling enough to find a way to bring 1 prop in let alone 2. Finding someone to replicate Masoes playoff performances would be very difficult (near impossible if you add the proviso of wanting that level of performance more consistently - I don't think you doubt the level of performance Masoe is capable of, just the consistency of which he plays at).

Would replacing Masoe with Carvell be good enough? What about bringing another prop in on top of that? Who is available who'd be good enough to bring in?

Exactly. I don't doubt his ability but the consistency IMO is the problem which I believe is attitude.

I think Pritchard might do a job

You've been told wrong.

His agent has denied it and Saints have denied it. The rumour was put about by the press down under. It had no basis in truth. Just as the rumours about Luke Walsh had no basis in truth.

His attitude is basically the same as Leeds have had for the last 5-7 years! He turned up when it mattered! I think his "base" performance level next year will be higher next year with an offseason and settled.

Pritchard would be double the price, and his availability is questionable given how strongly he shot down the rumours last time - that's before getting into whether Bulldoags would release him. The aussie market is crazy at the moment, so I don't doubt we'd be able to get a replacement, but sometimes the devil you know is better - the last thing we need would be another Perry.

Since Masoe is staying, we could do worse than trying to hijack Leeds attempt to sign Sam Barkow from leigh to complete our forwards roster,,,

The Bulldogs are overloaded with talent in the pack so I don't see them refusing to release Pritchard point blank.

He's a risk, tho. Big guy with plenty of talent. But whether his hunger for the game is what it once was - I'm not sure.

I think it's more a risk with injuries regarding Pritchard. He's missed nearly all the season.
